Description: "Built under the direction of Rev. Joseph Ferneding in 1945. Rev. C. Hammer was the first regularly appointed pastor. Rev. william UNterthiner, O.S.F., succeeded him after three months, who was soon joined by other Franciscan Fathers. This Order has charge of the parish to this day. In April, 1867, the old church was partially demolished and the present edifice erected. The dedication took place December 1, 1967. The church is 165 x 65 feet, and at its north-east end has a steeple 202 feet high. ...The congregation nubmers 1000 families."
